Sonu Sood: Akshay Kumar is like an elder brother to me

Sonu Sood, who has dubbed for the Hindi version of Hollywood film ‘The
Legend of Hercules’, wants to lend his
voice for action star Sylvester Stallone.

“I have always been a huge fan of
Sylvester Stallone. His films left an impression on me and I started exercising after seeing him. I would love to dub any of his films,” the 41-year-old told reporters here Saturday.

There were reports that earlier Akshay Kumar was approached to dub for the film.

When asked about it, Sonu said, “I had also heard this. But Akshay is family and we have recently shot ‘It’s Entertainment’ together. He is like an elder brother.”

“He is also a Punjabi and I am also a
Punjabi, so it doesn’t matter who does it as long as the film is good.”

Sonu was last seen in ‘R…Rajkumar’ and is currently shooting for Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’.

Audi is common man’s car too: Salman Khan

Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer’s new offering is available at Rs.1.28 crore in the country.

Hindi movie superstar Salman Khan
Monday unveiled Audi RS 7 Sportback in
India and said the vehicle is for the
common man who wants to be
uncommon.

“This is the common man’s car too …
common man who wants to be
uncommon,” Salman told reporters at the launch of the luxury car.

Audi, the German luxury car
manufacturer’s new offering is available
at Rs.1.28 crore in the country.

In filmdom celebrities often gift luxury
cars to their family members or
colleagues.

When asked who would he like to gift the new model of Audi to, he said: “Let’s see who deserves it. May be to somebody who actually looks good in it … it would be Katrina (Kaif). I would not like to gift her though. Let somebody else gift it to her.”

Did SRK refuse to step out of the car due to Salman?

Sallu was on Stage No 5 while SRK was on Stage No 3. Both the stages are adjacent to each other. While the Dabangg star was already at the venue since about 2.30 pm doing a photo shoot for his NGO, King Khan arrived around 4. 45 pm for the promo shoot of an upcoming film awards event that he is hosting.

Says a source, “Shah Rukh was slated to
arrive for the shoot at 3 pm, but reached
the venue only around 5.45 pm. He was as usual accompanied by his security folk
and his staff members. While the rest
came out of their respective cars, SRK did not step out of his vehicle for almost 25 minutes. It did not take long for
onlookers to realise what was holding
King Khan back. It was the presence of
Salman outside with his team.”

Adds the source, “Only when Salman had
gone back inside to his shoot that Shah
Rukh stepped out.”

Sallu had several visitors on the sets
which included filmmakers Mahesh
Manjrekar and Subhash Ghai and actor
Vatsal Seth. Salman’s brother Sohail and
sister Alvira were also present.

The source added, “Whenever Salman
would step out of his vanity van or from
the shoot, SRK made sure that he was not in the vicinity. It appeared that the staff of the stars kept tabs on what the other was doing and kept passing information about the movements of the other.”

Though Salman and SRK did pose for the
shutterbugs outside their respective
shooting space, it was only after they
made sure that the other was not
around.

Govinda declines Salman Khan’s offer

Yesteryear’s Bollywood star Govinda was much famous for his talent of putting too much humour in his roles but today his charm has faded up. Most of his films come and pass without making a mark at the box-office. In a bid to reintroduce him in the industry, Salman Khan approached him to play the protagonist in his upcoming remake of Mahesh Manjrekar’s Marathi flick ‘Shikshanacha Aaicha Gho’ in Hindi, but he refused to participate in the project.

“I approached Govinda but he refused it, seriously. For the last three years I have been after Govinda to do the film but he said that he didn’t like the film,” said Salman, who will be seen in a guest appearance in the Hindi remake.

A 2010 release, “Shikshanacha Aaicha Gho” revolved around a father’s quest to see his son as the best student. It starred Sachin Khedekar, Bharat Jadhav and Saksham Kulkarni in lead roles.

There were reports that Paresh Rawal will play the main lead in the film.

When asked about the casting, the 48- year-old said: “We haven’t finalised the cast yet, we may title it ‘God Only Knows’ and it will go on the floors by February.”

It was also remade in Tamil, Telugu and Bengali.

Dhoom:3 – Aamir Khan vrooms ahead of competition to make Rs 500 crore box office record!

their Dhoom:3 cast and crew can now
celebrate the stupendous success of their last release. Dhoom:3 did manage to end 2013 with a bang and has upped the success quotient for 2014. Yash Raj’s latest installment of the successful
Dhoom franchise has made a dashing
entry into the Rs 500 crore club, in fact it
is the first Bollywood film to hit this mark. According to the makers their film has grossed Rs 501.35 crore ($83.56 million) worldwide. The film hit the theatres on Dec 20 last year and created a splash at the box office.

Today, Yash Raj Films (YRF), issued an
official statement confirming the news.
In their press release the makers of the
film said, ”Dhoom:3 continues to create history at both the Indian and overseas box office. It is now officially the first Indian film to cross Rs 500 crore
worldwide.” They also gave a detailed
break up of their collections
internationally.

351.29 crore

Gross collections in the overseas market-

Nach Baliye 6: Salman Khan to replace Sajid as judge?

Superstar Salman Khan, who was the host of recently concluded TV reality
showBigg Boss 7, is now back on TV. If rumors are to be believed, Salman will
judge a couple of episodes of a reality
show on the rival channel. Rumors have
it that Salman will be promoting Jai Ho
on Nach Baliye 6 and he will replace Sajid Khan as the judge.

However, reason behind Sajid Khan’s
leaving the show is still unknown.
Salman will be seated next to Shilpa
Shetty on the chair of Sajid and will judge the contestants and give marks to them.
